I found this adorable vintage rattan sofa furniture off of Facebook marketplace and I knew it would fit perfectly in my home! It just needed a little bit of Madison love! A little paint can go a long way in a furniture makeover.
Reupholstered Cushions
I started by reupholstering the current sofa cushions. I took the old cushions off and made new cushions with adorable striped fabric. I did vertical stripes on the side and horizontal stripes on the top making it one cohesive look.
Cushion Tutorial
I used a cushion tutorial and it was so easy and doable for any beginner sewer.
French Mattress Detailing
I added the French detail look on the outside of the cushions for a more cozy look! I love how the french detailing gives the traditional fabric a more boho feel.
Painted Furniture
I then painted the rattan sofa in a beautiful periwinkle color. I saw a rattan chair on Anthropologie‘s website in the same color and use it as my inspiration!
With a little bit of love, this sofa is now an eclectic keepsake!
