There’s no right or wrong way to decorate for Christmas! Whether you have a 9-foot tree or a little tree potted tree on a side table, decorating for Christmas is all about how it makes you feel. I have been obsessed with the classic Hallmark Christmas tree! A vintage colorful Christmas is for me! ✨ Over the last several years I’ve experimented with different Christmas styles in my home and last year was my absolute favorite! I am going to lean into vintage-inspired Christmas decor again with lots of color, tinsel, and nostalgia! 🥹🎄🫶🏼 and so should you!! It’s absolutely magical!
A lot of my tree inspiration this year is coming from classic Christmas movies. Something about this messy yet magical look feels so nostalgic to me! Growing up we had a “kids’ tree” and it always had handmade ornaments and colored lights. But what if I could create an adult “kids’ tree?” Add all the fun but somehow make it look like it still fits into my 30-year-old life?
Christmas Decor Ideas
A Hallmark Inspired Christmas Tree means I will be adding all the bright, warm lights + layered with multicolored lights, tinsel, fun, colorful bulbs, and velvet ribbon!
VELVET RIBBON | LETTER ORNAMENT | STAR WREATH | STAR GARLAND | GUMDROP LIGHTS | GOLD TINSEL | ACORNS ORNAMENTS | WOOL FELT GARLAND | TINY COLOR BULBS | LARGE COLOR BULBS | STAR TOPPER | COLORED LIGHTS | PINK TINSEL STRAND
Here are a few pieces that will be on my tree this year! I added a few to my collection though I will be reusing a lot from last year. The acorns are so stinking cute!!
I haven’t decided if I will do gold or silver tinsel this year. Silver is the traditional color I’ve seen in the older Hallmark inspired Christmas trees but I would love to try gold just to see how it looks! I also snagged some awesome vintage-styled bulbs on sale after Christmas and I can’t wait to get them out this year!
