Hi! My name is Madison Bess and this blog is about living in our very first home. Which happens to be a 1940’s beach bungalow in the Gulf Coast of Florida. Our entire space adds up to 696 sqft. and we are obsessed. I live with my husband, Carter, and our Old English Sheepdog, Bruce. We love small space living. Even with our 80-pound dog. There is something about a tiny house that is so full of life.
We also love Florida. We are lucky enough to enjoy green trees year-round. Carter and I enjoy spending time together traveling, trips to the beach, any home projects we have the time for. I love just about anything you can do in a kitchen to baking, cooking, and creating new recipes.
Since Carter and I were married 5 years ago we have moved 11 times! We’ve lived in, Utah, Alabama, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Florida. We loved being able to experience all these new places. Every place we’ve lived, we would drive through different neighborhoods and admire each home’s style that went with each geographically area. Every place is unique and tells a story. I have always loved spending time making my space a beautiful place to be. I also love how that looks different for everyone.
My purpose for this blog is to show people that you don’t have to be a professional to make something beautiful. I don’t strive for perfection but rather to find happiness in the simplest of things I bring into my home.
