Is it really already Thanksgiving next week? This year has just flown by for us. Carter and I will be spending the Holiday’s with our families this year, so before we go MIA I wanted to show you how I do a Modern Black + Gold Thanksgiving Tablescape.

LUXE Tablescapes
I love a luxe feel, but I also want to keep it cozy since this is our home. We can fit five people at our tiny table if we don’t use charger plates. I only set the table for four so you can see the whole look and hopefully incorporate this into your own home this Thanksgiving. If I were to be hosting Thanksgiving in my own home, we would be eating outside and I would have a bigger table.
Dinnerware and Details
I used THESE gold chargers and matching dinner and salad plates. You can find the matte black dinner plates HERE and the salad plates HERE. I loved the detailing on THESE napkins. The gold beads added the perfect texture to mix things up. The white ceramic bowls I picked up at Homegoods and I use them for desserts. I love the idea of doing individual desserts, that way I can have them made and served before dinner starts and I can enjoy the meal and company without having to worry about dishing up any more food.
I love the tall drinking glasses, they are heavy and so pretty. You can find them HERE. I only use these glasses on special occasions like Thanksgiving. Gold flatware always looks beautiful and adds a modern touch. You can find similar flatware HERE.
When Carter saw the little pieces of eucalyptus on the plates he said, “Oh I always love a good eucalyptus salad.” I shushed him but had to chuckle a little. Tablescapes are all in the details. Fresh greenery against the matte black plates makes for a perfect, gorgeous, modern look. I didn’t add place cards, but that is also a great idea if you’re having a large group.
Natural Centerpieces
I always turn to the grocery store when creating a centerpiece. I look for seasonal fruits and greenery. Today I added pomegranates and pine. Sometimes I even cut a pomegranate in half to show the seeds. Adding in-season items really brings together the table and sets the appropriate tone. You can find my gold candlestick holders HERE.
