Oh, Christmas, how I love you. I can easily admit that decorating this Christmas Garland over my sink is my all-time favorite part of Christmas decor! Something about twinkling lights overhead makes washing dishes seem more enjoyable. I have a little secret on how I like to make this perfect Christmas garland.

Christmas Garland
First, I like to start with a faux garland. Mine has little pinecones on it which adds a fun touch! I usually use command strips to hang the Christmas garland. I will place the command strips on the backsplash and then use a string to hang the faux garland. Then I like to add real greenery to the faux garland. Mixing the faux with the real will help your garland look full and pretty. I find real greenery at my local grocery store. My favorites are regular eucalyptus and dollar eucalyptus.
Just start stuffing it everywhere! The branches should catch really easy and it will stay in place nicely. My favorite thing I have found this season is chunky globe lights. These warm lights are so pretty and festive! I just love them! (You can see last year’s Christmas garland with dried oranges!)
Christmas Tree
This is the first year that I have put a Christmas tree in my kitchen and I think I will make it a tradition! It is so cute! I actually bought this real Christmas tree for our bedroom, but it was too big and I am happy about the mishap!

Of course, this Christmas tree needed chunky lights as well! I put the tree in a woven basket. I love using baskets for tree bases. Just a fun unique look! You can also wrap light around the basket for a more cozy look!
Christmas Details
Lastly, I added some fun Christmas stuff around the kitchen. A few bristle brush trees and some fresh greenery in vases. For me, decorating for Christmas means three things: Christmas garland, chunky lights, and fresh greenery!
