You are going to love this easy art trick! I have to say, finding art that I LOVE has to be the hardest part about making my space feel complete. Even though, creating a design board really helps with finding the right piece; sometimes I will love a piece online or in stores, but it just doesn’t seem to fit in terms of size or style. (You can learn how to create your own design board right here on my blog.) I have to admit, currently I have three large prints sitting on the floor of my living room, all because I can’t make a final decision on whether or not to hang them. I’ll get there eventually… right?
I came up with this idea when I was brainstorming on a project for work. One of my projects was to design a book cover and I ended up using this trick. I couldn’t believe how well it turned out, so I figured I had to try it in my own home! I am so happy I did and now I have to share it with you.
Simple and Easy Art Trick
This easy art trick only takes a few minutes. I use both of these apps depending on the look I am going for; Waterlogue and Artomaton. I upload my image and then click through the different options until I pick one I like. I decided to use this cute picture of my dog Bruce.
Add Your Own Art to Your Home
I ended up ordering a 16 x 20 poster print from Office Depot. You can view their poster printing options here. The print cost about $15 dollars. I found the frame from Goodwill for $3 dollars and I spray painted it white. For a grand total of $18 dollars. Can you believe it? I love that I can add a piece of art in my home that means something to me. Download the app and share your pictures on Instagram tagging The Blushing Bungalow or using my hashtag #blushingbungalow
Here are a few more examples of using your own images in the app. Thank you to my friends who let me use their gorgeous pictures!
