Every year I look forward to decorating our small front porch for Fall and Halloween. I really like decorating seasonally, but I always feel like adding a touch of holiday here and there! That’s why I layered Halloween decor on top of my Fall decor for my outside front porch. This way, once Halloween is over, I can simply remove the Halloween decorations and have a beautiful Fall-styled space after the holidays.
DOOR COLOR | CONCRETE PAINT | BOXWOOD WREATH | UNDER RUG | WELCOME RUG
Paint
I started by refreshing the brick on the ground. I gave it a paint job using concrete paint. I did a thin coat letting the natural color of the grout still come through. I am not tired of my pink front door yet! It’s one of my favorite things about my tiny home. The color is Sweet as a Peach by Sherwin-Williams.
Halloween Porch Decor DIY
How I decided to add Halloween door decorations this year was by layering something “spooky” over a boxwood wreath. I found a plastic skeleton wreath and decided to spray paint it black to match the current aesthetic. It turned out so cute and it is the perfect amount of Halloween for me!
Porch Halloween Ideas
No Fall front porch is without pumpkins! I picked up a handful of heirloom pumpkins from our local pumpkin patch and soaked them in vinegar for about six hours. I did this last year and it helped my pumpkins last all season long! Carter helped me organize the pumpkins into a waterfall and thought he did such a good job!
Halloween Door Decor
Lastly, to finish up the Fall front porch I layered an outdoor mat under my welcome mat. This is an easy way to add interest and texture to the outside of your front door.
I also found an adorable lantern and I thought it would be cute to stack pumpkins in it! I try to buy decor items that I can reuse every season, so I thought that this lantern would also be cute at Christmas time too!
This Halloween Fall front porch was so easy and it makes me happy when I walk through my front door. The front of your home totally sets the mood for the rest of the house. A little bit of paint and decor will always go a long way!
