October is here, so I thought it was about time to dress up my front porch. Last fall we had recently moved in, so all I did was put out a couple of pumpkins. I am glad I did because I learned really quick (one day) that Florida does not like fall at all. In just 24 hours, my pumpkin was baked. We pretty much could have eaten it.
Fall Front Porch Details
I’m not going to lie. I was kind of sad when I realized that real pumpkins weren’t going to work on my fall front porch… But, I decided it wasn’t going to get the best of me and squash my love for fall (pun definitely intended). I found the most perfect items and now I am saying, “what pumpkins?” I wanted to keep my front porch styled simple for two reasons. One, I don’t have a lot of storage so I had picked items I could use after the season ended within my home. Two, my front porch area is tiny! So, I really was thoughtful about what I wanted to display. I hope you enjoy it!

Rug Layering 101 on My Fall Front Porch
This “Hello You Lovely People” mat is adorable, so I decided it was going to stay another season. You can find it here on Amazon. I started transforming my fall front porch by rug layering my welcome mat with this Project 62, black and white rug from Target. Rug layering is a perfect way to add different moods for each season. I wrote more about rug layering here. >>>
Pumpkins and Nature’s Decor
Then I added these cute beige, natural fiber pumpkins which I also bought these at Target. Find them here. They added the perfect amount of warmth. They are from their more recent line Opal House, which has to be one of my favorite lines yet released. The tall wooden basket/vase I found at TJMaxx. I filled it with 4 dried Seteria bundles that I ordered from World Market. You can find them here.
The Coveted Hanging Basket from Target
This door hanging basket is amazing. I love the idea that you can switch out what’s inside depending on the season. Since my front porch gets a lot of sun I decided to go with a succulent and some real eucalyptus behind it. The eucalyptus smells so good, every time I walk up to my front door I am greeted by it. This hanging basket has been hard to get your hands on ever since Brooke Christen from Nesting With Grace showed us how great it is. I got mine at my local Target. I had to watch for it when it came back in stock. This basket is so versatile I highly recommend finding one yourself. Find it from Target here. Crossing fingers they have one in stock!
My New Proper Tee from Chris Loves Julia
I basically haven’t taken this shirt off since I got it. My review is 5/5 all the way. I bought this one here from Proper Tee in the color “Heather Dust.” The shirt itself is incredibly soft and fits perfect. I am wearing size small for reference. Chris Loves Julia is a fan favorite. When I showed my husband, he was very amused by the pun in their t-shirt business. I had to laugh about that. Lastly, I love the message in this shirt, “Home is a feeling.” How true is that?
Easy Trader Joe’s Fall Arrangement
Trader Joe’s is one of my favorite places to get flowers for table arrangements. They always offer what’s in season and you can find items that are inexpensive. I used eucalyptus silver dollars and these dried accent flowers, perfect for fall moods. This arrangement is sitting on the extra cabinet in my kitchen. I added all my fall kitchen décor details in an earlier blog post which you can read here.
