Fall Front Porch + Pink Paint on Front Door

Decorating during all of the different seasons is one of my favorite things to do around my home. It’s an easy way to switch things up without having to rearrange your whole house. This year for my fall front porch we opted for pumpkins, mums and fresh paint!

Fresh Coat of Paint

Our door was getting pretty dingy, so it was time to give this fall front porch a fresh coat of paint. I wanted a color that would complement the natural colors in pumpkins and mums. I ended up using this warm peachy color from Sherwin-Williams called “Sweet As a Peach.” You can find this color HERE. After I painted the door, Carter came home and commented on how the color of the door already gives our fall front porch a more moody, fall feel. That’s exactly what I was going for! Thanks, Carter!

Layered Rugs

After giving the door a new paint job, it was time to decorate my small porch. I wanted to add a lot of layers to our front door area so I decided on using two rugs and layered them for texture! You can find THIS similar cute cozy doormat and THIS layered jute rug from Target. I love the texture the jute rug adds with the rough tassels. Layering rugs on your front door is a great way to add more elements, especially in a small space.

Stacked Pumpkins on Small Fall Front Door

After giving the door a new paint job, it was time for pumpkins. Since we do have a small front porch, I decided to go “up” with the pumpkins by stacking them. I started by stacking an orange pumpkin on a green planter and then alternated green and orange pumpkins to finish.

Pro tip: when decorating a space try to stay within the same color scheme. This will help your space feel cohesive and intentional. You’ll see throughout my fall front door are used green and orange. That’s why I decided on an orange/pink door color to bring it all together!

The Details

For the door I found THIS adorable rattan basket wish you can shop HERE! I filled it with two bright orange moms from Home Depot. I love a good hanging door basket. You can really add just about anything to a door basket during any season for a special look.

Lastly, it’s all about the details right? My favorite part about this fall front porch refresh is the gold little bat above the basket. I found a cast-iron vintage-looking bat and gave it a little gold spray paint job. You can shop a similar one HERE. I attached it to the hook so it looked like a door knocker. I love the Halloween vibe it gives. So spooky!

Overall I recommend adding a lot of textures and layers to your front door for a fun cozy look! I also added a cinnamon broom nearby so as you walk up it smells like cinnamon. Not a bad touch for when somebody walks up to your cozy fall front porch! You can follow more HERE on my blog or HERE on Instagram!
