Last week Carter and I added hanging plants to our Florida room. We found these hanging planters at Homegoods, but we found some similar ones HERE.

Hanging The Plants
Hanging the planters was so easy. We used THESE screw hooks. Carter drilled a small hole into the ceiling with a small drill bit and then twisted the hook into the ceiling. We hung the plants and done. I told you it was so easy.
These plants don’t grow long roots and they sit in little black containers, so they are easy to water. I take them out every week and submerge the roots in water and let them drain before I place them back into the hanging planters.
Embracing Transparency
I’ve mentioned that I work from home. Sometimes that looks like working at a table and other times that means typing away in my bed. I thought Bruce looked cute laying in the sun next to my new plant, so I snapped a picture. I could have easily taken a few seconds to tuck and fluff the bed to perfection, but since starting this account I told myself that I wanted to embrace transparency in it all. There are a time and place for styled pictures and this wasn’t one of them. This was a day in the life with Madison. What you see is what you get.

Halloween Costumes 2019
I still haven’t decided if Carter and I’s Halloween customs were a success… Do you know what we are? Baby Shark! We had a lot of fun dressing up and having everyone guess. All my friends and family thought it was a baby announcement. Hand to head! Haha! I also can’t look at our Halloween pictures without singing Baby Shark for the rest of the day. It WAS funny and clever, so I think it was an overall win.
