Herringbone Floor Tile in Bathroom – ORC Week 6

Today I am excited to share with you our project, Herringbone Floor Tile in Bathroom, for week 6 on the One Room Challenge Spring 2020. The One Room challenge™ provides participants with a supportive, enthusiastic forum in which to share the process of transforming a room. The ORC is not a competition, but rather a celebration of creativity, inspiration, and original ideas. I will be sharing our bathroom remodel for this challenge. You can find all the rooms and designers participating in the ORC HERE. You can also follow along on Instagram HERE. That’s where I will be sharing live videos and pictures.

Before

These old tiles were dark and dingy. These large tiles made the bathroom feel smaller so it was time for a little upgrade so we opted for this herringbone floor tile in the bathroom.

After

Can we just talk about how lovely these new tiles are?! I love the marble herringbone. You can find THESE same tiles HERE. The rest of the bathroom has an older charm so I was worried about the floor looking shiny and brand new. To give the floor a more warn look we tried not to polish every tile perfectly. We used THIS lighter caulk and are so happy with how it turned out.

There are still a few things we need to do to the floor like caulk and re-grout some areas. We are saving that for 95% day. The day we finish all the small things to complete the entire room.

We love how the herringbone is one continuous lighter pattern. This helps make the bathroom feel larger.
