Earlier this year we redid our patio space and it is now one of our most used areas in our home. Before it was just a slab of chipped concrete with some old patio furniture. You can read more about the makeover details HERE. Living in such a small home you have to utilize every inch. Luckily enough for us we are able to use this back patio year-round with the warm Florida weather.
How to Use Faux Flowers
A few weeks ago we celebrated my husband’s college graduation with a small backyard gathering. Having this space done and useable was perfect for hosting a little celebratory party. We used faux flowers from Afloral to for the special occasion. You can shop for their large selection of faux flowers and vases HERE.
When Afloral reached out to me about putting together a few arrangements for an outdoor space, I thought this would be the perfect way to highlight some of their amazing products.
Pathway with Faux Plants
One of the items I requested were THESE faux grass plants. I loved the idea of placing them along the main pathway to enter the backyard. These faux plants are durable and have held up in the hot sun and rain. The weather has been bad the last few weeks but they still look great! These are a perfect alternative to real plants. Especially for those hard to water areas in your yard.
Main Arrangement
We had one large arrangement filled with tropical colored faux flowers. This piece was gorgeous and everyone seemed to love it in the outdoor area. I shared a video on how to create this arrangement on Instagram HERE.
Ingredients for Main Arrangement
White Ceramic Farmhouse Urn Vase with Handles – 9.5″ × 1
Ranunculus Fake Flowers in Peach Pink × 2
Artificial Bells of Ireland in Emerald Green × 2
Cream Pink Artificial Buttercup Flowers × 2
Blush Artificial Peony Flower × 3
Yellow Artificial Chinese Sweet Gum Ball Flowers × 1
White Mini Fake Bellflower and Grass Bush – 12.5″ × 2
Silk Mini Ranunculus in Coral Peach × 2
UV Protected Indoor/Outdoor Fake Mixed Fern – 17″ × 1
Table and Side Arrangments
There were also two smaller table arrangements and a side arrangement I added to the space. I loved the orange stems. They fit perfectly in our Florida oasis.
What I loved most about using faux flowers for this gathering was I didn’t have to worry about the flowers wilting in the hot sun. Plus I can reuse these to make another gorgeous arrangement for any other special occasion I might have.
Ingredients for Smaller Arrangements
Tall Speckled Vase
Fake Oranges Fruit Branch – 35″ × 2
Small Speckled Vase
Blush Artificial Peony Flower × 2
Medium Speckled Vase
White Artificial Forget-Me-Not Flowers Bush × 2
