Decorating my kitchen area for Christmas is something I look forward to every year. This year’s theme is a vintage, modern-inspired Christmas. I love how this Christmas garland with ribbon turned out. Between the pink velvet ribbon and chunky, colorful lights, I think it fits the theme perfectly.
Realistic Artificial Garland
I finally upgraded my Christmas garland this year and the quality is unbelievable. This garland is pre-lit with white lights. It makes it really easy to use. In the past when I’ve decorated for the holidays, I used several pieces of inexpensive garlands. It always looked beautiful but I’m happy this year I splurged on a high-quality garland that I can use for years to come.

I hung the garland with heavy-duty hooks from Amazon. Since I applied the hooks to the tile, I’m not worried about it ruining the wall. I did read somewhere that if you wanted to use these hooks on a painted wall, first apply tape and then put the hooks over the tape. That way the hooks won’t ruin your wall with the strong adhesive.
Christmas Ribbon
This vintage-inspired Christmas theme meant I wanted to use lots of colors for a more nostalgic feel. I used tiny Christmas ornaments on the Christmas garland with ribbon.
For the pink velvet ribbon, I tied small bows and attached them to the garland with floral wire. I think the bows along with the lights so festive and modern!
How to Make Garland with Ribbon
I used colored lights on our swing in the Florida room and on our Christmas tree this year. So I wanted to continue with the colored lights on the Christmas garland with ribbon. I used big bulb-colored lights and it’s absolutely adorable! I did take out a few of the colored bulbs and added regular white lights for a little extra sparkle.

Overall, this Christmas garland with ribbon makes me light up every time I walk into our kitchen. I had this print made of Bruce and me from my favorite artist. The Christmas decorations are bright, colorful, and fun. I love everything about how it turned out!
