Small Closet Makeover

The laundry room and small laundry room closet was an area of my home I wanted to update first this year. I started The project with A small laundry room closet makeover. I’m so happy I finally got to space! This custom small closet makeover was so easy and has totally upgraded the space for a more cozy feel!

Small Closet Makeover Before and After

This was the before picture of the small closet in our laundry room. I had so many small closet laundry room ideas I started with a design board. Starting with design boards really can be helpful when you don’t know where to start. Now, this closet is more than just a laundry room broom closet. It’s so bright and fun and fits in with the rest of our bungalow!

DIY Laundry Room Closet

I did most of the work myself. With a little help from my husband Carter and we did have some electrician work as well. I started by removing all of the tiles and replaced them with beautiful coral tiles. I love how this turned out. The pink against the golden yellow botanical wallpaper looks bright and inviting!

Our small closet laundry room makeover wasn’t complete without these beautiful oak floating shelves by Ultra Shelf. I love the shelves as they are easy to install for a DIY laundry room closet.

Closet Organizers for Laundry Room

Of course, you have to have all of your laundry room closet organizers. I opted for miss-matched baskets and containers for a fun look. I wanted to keep the closet a flexible area so using different sizes of containers helped me keep everything in here I need! My favorite containers are the pink metal storage boxes and woven seagrass baskets with pom-poms.

Laundry Room Closet Ideas

I really wanted to pay attention to detail in this closet, so I found a cute white broom and added a little bit of my own detailing to it. I also love a copper dustpan and a hand broom. Makeovers for small closets don’t need to be boring! Think about adding art and pretty gold hooks to your laundry room closet. This will totally up your closet game! I also love this black dome overhead light. It contrasts well with the rest of the laundry room closet.

Golden Yellow Wallpaper for Small Closet Makeover

This project was so much fun and my favorite part was adding this gorgeous wallpaper! Many of my followers on Instagram mentioned how it reminds them of the SpongeBob credits. I had to laugh because they’re totally right! I added a few more options of the yellow wallpaper. I also discuss more wallpaper techniques and how to choose the right wallpaper.
