The patio is FINISHED and I am very excited to be sharing it with you today. We have already used this space almost every night since we completed the project and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. The finished patio space gives us a whole other area to enjoy and entertain in our tiny 696 sqft. beach bungalow.
Here are the links to all the styled products. If I don’t have links for exact products I shared look-a-likes.

Sunshade
We have loved having this sunshade above our patio. It gives the perfect amount of shade. You can find the shade HERE and the hardware HERE. We attached the shade to our tree, house and a pole Carter put into the ground.
Patio Priority
The patio has been a priority for me to finished since moving in over a year ago. First, since we live in Florida, we get to enjoy nice weather almost year-round. Especially in the evenings. Second, as I mentioned, our house is small so it is important to utilize every space you can.
We had a few friends over a few nights ago. We played games by the fire and enjoyed the cool weather.
Painted Pattern
This part took longer than I anticipated. Luckily my mother came into town to help me get it done. I prepped the concrete by power washing it. Then I started with THIS Pure White patio paint from Home Depot as a base. I did have to do two coats.
Then my mom and I got to work with the stencil. I used THIS blue paint for the design. The stenciling took about 12 hours with two people working on it.
We stenciled the entire thing and then had to go back with white paint to clean up the edges using a small paintbrush. Long process, but oh how I love it!
DIY Rattan Side Tables
These two side tables I found for free on a local For Sale Board. It was actually one round table and split it in half so it could nestle up the loveseat.
I really loved THESE side tables from Serena Lily, however, they weren’t in our budget so I turned them our inspo and painted the ones I found. I used THIS black spray paint to paint them.
Extra Seating
Since our patio is small we knew we had to find a stylish way to offer extra seating. These white chairs were given to us for free when we first moved in and we spray painted them with THIS white spray paint.
The chairs came with cushions, but they weren’t my favorite. I played around with the idea of making cushions, but I am not the best sewer, yet. 🙂 So after searching, I found some beautiful french styled cushions from World Market, here are SOME very similar. I love the combination of the yellows, blues, and pinks.
We covered the ground in pine straw (this type of mulch was new to me prior to moving here, but is a popular choice) and placed the chairs looking towards the patio.
Everything Else
Our patio furniture is sold out, HERE is a similar one. I love the teak look mixed with the blue from the floor, giving it a fun, modern look.
We ordered the cafe lights from Amazon and you can buy them HERE. Lights are a must on any outdoor space.
This chiminea was old and rusted, but we spiced it up with THIS spray paint. (Lots of spray paint in this project.) Repainting something can make it look good as new.
Carter loves his Visions Grill from Sams Club. We use it a few times a week. You can find it HERE.

Emily Henderson Inspo
My main inspo for this patio project was from Emily Henderson’s patio. You can read more about her HERE. I love how effortless her space looks, yet still so inviting.
