New York Weekend Trip Itinerary

Taking a trip to New York City during Christmas time is just as magical as they say it is. Carter and I traveled to New York with a few friends and had such a great time. We were only there for two days and we packed in a lot of fun. If you are planning a trip to NYC soon… follow this fun and easy New York Weekend Trip Itinerary.

First Time in New York

I have been to New York City a few times before this trip. However, this was Carter’s first time in the big city! Carter absolutely loved experiencing the city since this was his first time visiting we tried to hit some of the main attractions as well as try all the best restaurants.

New York Trip Itinerary Ideas

We stayed at Walker Hotel Tribeca and had the best experience. The hotel was close to tons of shopping and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. I thought the hotel was super cute and Instagram-worthy. The rooms were on the smaller side but we really wanted to spend most of our time walking or eating and we did just that!

NYC Food Itinerary

Everything we ate in New York City was absolutely delicious! Make sure to plan your restaurants ahead of time and make reservations. Most restaurants in New York City require reservations ahead of time, especially during the holiday season.

2 Days in NYC Where to Eat

Coffee Cannal (Coffee shop: Grabbed a breakfast sandwich. Close to our hotel and it was simple but good!)
Dig Inn (Build your own Bowl: Healthy and Flavorful. Loved this place. Food was fresh and delicious!)
Ophelia’s (Lounge: Appetizers were phenomenal. 26th skyline view. Music was great!)
Au Cheval (Sit down Dinner Restaurant: 10/10 Best meal I have ever had. We ordered a burger and fries.)
McDonald’s Time Square (Wanted to eat at Liberty Bagels but the line was over an hour so we bailed. tried two other restaurants and then opted for Micky D’s.)
Katz Delicatessen (No frills Deli. Loved the food. Ordering was weird… You have to join a separate line for the main, sides, drinks, and desserts so it’s best to break up the group to each stand in a line. Food was amazing!)
The Ludlow NYC Hotel Cafe and Bar (Cozy place to the lounge to order apps and drinks. We sat by the fire and talked while we decompressed from the busy day.)
Jack’s Wife Freda
(Sit-down brunch: I ordered Shakshuka and Carter ordered Breakfast steak 10/10 recommend)
The Lafayette
(Sit-down brunch: We sat at the bar and I ordered a green drink! It was delicious.)

Overall, we had so much fun on our trip! Times Square was crazy busy so I would recommend not going on a Saturday. But, I would do this New York Weekend Trip Itinerary all over again! We had a fabulous time!
