STALL IKEA HACK- SMALL SPACE SOLUTION IN OUR BUNGALOW
We’ve seen this Stall Ikea Hack shoe cabinet hack all over Pinterest and there is a reason why. First, it’s a perfect small storage solution. With the depth only being around 7 inches, you’re able to put this piece pretty much anywhere. Second, it is easy! This project was so easy and fun I could see myself putting it in multiple places in my home. Last, it looks amazing. I love being able to have a small shelf to style and it also useful place to store things.

Small Storage Solutions
I am so happy to have this storage in my small house. We have to utilize every space in our 696 square foot house, so this was the perfect solution. It also gave us more walking room than the bench we had there before. We also have repainted to a brighter white since this before picture and you can read more about that HERE.
This is what the Ikea Stall Shoe Cabinet looks like without any changes.
First, Carter put it together and screwed it to the wall. We decided not to add the legs for a more modern and open look.
Then we used THESE blots and THESE screws to add the leather handles to the doors. The leather handles are made from a belt I picked up at Goodwill. I cut four handles that were six inches long. After we put up the main piece to the wall, we drilled holes into the belt and the front of the doors next to the pulls. We then screwed the screws through the belt and door holes to secure it.
It is secure without the nuts, but the nuts help finishes it off.
Last, we added THIS piece of wood on the top. It was the perfect width so all we had to do was cut a little bit off the length. We used THIS wood glue to secure it to the top of the shoe cabinet. Place some heavy books on the top until it dries completely.
Styled Shelving and Links
You can find a similar mirror find it HERE. I love how the mirror ties the woods together. I picked up this piece of art from Homegoods. The original frame was a dark gray so I decided to spray paint it white to fit the warmth of the room. This Bulldog was a gift from my sister. She picked it up at a thrift store and spray painted it gold. (Carter loves bulldogs!) It’s one of our favorites. This vase was also from Homegoods but I linked a few HERE and HERE that are similar.
