Refreshing our cozy bedroom season to season is one of my favorite things. Just like we don’t wear the same thing every single day switching up things in our home can give us new life and hit a little reset button. In one year I’ll probably switch up things in my bedroom 2 to 3 times. Once for, spring, fall, and Christmas!

Cozy Bedroom Aesthetic
For the spring refresh, I really wanted to focus on keeping it bright all while staying cozy. I would have to say my spring refresh is the most rewarding and makes my home feel like it has new life!
I really wanted to focus more on textures than colors for the space. Spring is all about rebirth and renewal. So I decided to stick with an overall theme of warm whites, beiges, and earthy colors.
Fluffy Bedding
The bed is always the focal point in any bedroom! I started with bright white sheets. These are actually my favorite sheets I’ve ever used. They are made from eucalyptus and they feel like the perfect blend of silk and cotton! Kind of like you’re sleeping in an old soft T-shirt. I also love the white bright bedding against our upholstery bed frame.
I then added a cream velvet quilt. This adds texture and luxe! I kept it pretty simple with the pillows with two large boucle square pillows and a cute little knitted round pillow. At the end of the bed, I threw a knitted light brown blanket for some added texture!
Warm and Cozy Bedroom Ideas
There are so many different ways you can brighten up any room. Our room is on the smaller side, so I really focused on adding a lot of different lighter elements with lots of texture that would grab interest!
Hanging Plants
Another way you can keep your bedroom cozy is by adding plants and art! I added a plant above my bed because having one on my nightstand was taking up a little more room than I would like! I use an easy wall hook. This plant is called a Wart Fern! I also added a plugin wall sconce to save room too! I love the brass detail. I found the rattan mirror at Homegoods. This rattan mirror from Walmart is really cute too!
Art in Bedroom
The art above my bed is such a cool piece! It was done by my artist friend Kamdon, and you can find it on her website here. She created a custom art collection for me earlier this year, it is so adorable! I also have a running code with her print shop for 15% off BLUSHINGBUNGALOW. This painting is called, “Golden Hour” and she painted it on a small paint chip. I purchased the digital download and blew it up to 24 x 20 and the resolution is amazing!
Cozy Bedroom Ideas for Small Rooms
The last finishing touches in the cozy bedroom refresh were the fun striped curtains and vintage-inspired rug. I thought adding a striped curtain with a horizontal stripe gave the room more interest. I also used our favorite bamboo shades on the other window! Such a good price! And of course, I love all of the colors in this beautiful rug! And of course, I still love our black ceiling fan against the wallpapered ceiling.
