When it comes to decorating my home, it’s never been about how fast I can get it filled with decor. I mostly try to focus on breaking down each room into smaller spaces and looking for perfect pieces that will bring the whole room together. This little corner in our living room was the last place that needed attention. What is Rattan?
Rattan is a material that you can weave into different types of furniture. There are several different species of solid timber vine, which is bamboo like material. Rattan material can vary in length and width and you can create a large variety of different types of products ranging from rattan table lamps to full-size pieces of furniture like sofas and bed frames.

What’s the Difference Between Wicker and Rattan?
The main difference between rattan and wicker is they are essentially completely different things! Rattan is a material while the word wicker describes how that material is woven. So another example of a natural material like rattan would be seagrass. If seagrass is woven in a certain way, they could describe it as wicker.

I love how this rattan table lamp has a rattan shade and rattan bass! I think it looks really great on this white, clean, modern entry table and brings the perfect amount of warmth to the modern flair.

This modern acrylic entry cabinet complements the rattan table lamp. They are vastly different styles but work together. I’m also excited about all the storage I’m going to have in this new piece! It’s absolutely gorgeous in person and is worth the price! It fits like a glove in the space, which is so important in small homes like mine!
When I saw the acrylic handles, I knew this piece would work great in my living room to tie in the acrylic picture rail on the other side of the room. Repeating different elements throughout an eclectic space is a great way to make it feel intentional.
Rattan table lamps are a perfect way to bring warmth to any space! I always try to add some type of warm natural material whether it’s wood, jute, or rattan. I think this is what makes a space really cozy and inviting.
