The Artist
Of course, I have to share a little bit about the amazing artist Kamdon. Kamdon is unlike any other artist I met… She paints upside down! How talented is that? She has created a beautiful portfolio and sells many of her prints on her website.
In our first meeting, we discussed my style and some of my ideas. I am amazed at how I was able to throw words out into the universe and Kamdon magically turned them into beautiful pieces of art that I will cherish forever. Thank you Kamdon for creating the most beautiful, personal collection for me and my family.
Eclectic Art Prints
Sgt. Springsteen
This adorable vintage-inspired canine piece is probably one of my favorites! The creativity behind this piece has the cutest personal touch. We live in St. Petersburg Florida and walk downtown by the Vinoy Hotel on a weekly basis! I love how Kamdon added a touch of our Florida home in this piece. And who doesn’t love vintage dogs?! My Old English Sheepdog, Bruce, has a best friend Dalmatian. And of course, his name is Sgt. Pepper. We often meet up with Bruce and Sgt. Pepper at the dog park right across the street from the hotel! So for me, this is a little piece of my life thrown into the perfect vintage art. You can find It HERE.
Pucker Up
This idea came from a true collaboration between Kamdon and me. I had this idea of a strong woman. Playing on our beach bungalow vibes, Kamdon suggested a flower vintage swim cap as inspiration. And isn’t she powerful and adorable? The bold red lip says it all! You can find it HERE.
Sharon Says
Now, this piece has a funny backstory to it. Growing up every time I would leave the house, my mom would always say to me and my siblings… “Be good or be good at it!” A few years later, popular song artist and rapper Lil Wayne came out with a hit song and one of the lyrics was the phrase “be good or be good at it.” We always used to joke that Lil Wayne quoted my mom which is why this piece is named after her, “Sharon Says.” You can find it HERE.
Sun Kissed
This sweet citrus piece is the perfect combination of curved lines and elegance. Oranges are one of the first things I think of when it comes to the state of Florida. I’m sure you’ve seen a little bit of a trend in these pieces all coming back to Florida and our cozy life here in our bungalow. I love the simplicity of this piece and how it pulls the rest of the bright-colored pieces together. You can find it HERE.
Midge on the Beach
This airstream piece is absolutely perfect and just downright fun! The inspiration for this piece actually came from a scene in the TV show, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. The show takes place in the 50’s and Midge, a New Yorker, travels to old-time Miami for a fun getaway. I loved the palm trees and the vintage colors in the umbrella. Eclectic Art Wall Ideas
I love that this custom collection comes in five pieces that you can mix and match! I put my five pieces on a 72″ wooden picture ledge that Carter and I built ourselves. These pieces would look adorable as part of a gallery wall or standing alone!
