This year I decided that I wanted to start trying new recipes. I love to cook but over the last couple of months, it’s become more difficult to find the time and energy. But with the new year starting I want to rededicate myself to doing something I love which is cooking delicious healthy foods and fueling my body! I started with this new Greek Pita recipe I made!
Easy Quick Recipes
This Greek Pita recipe is really easy and only took me about 15 minutes! What I love about it, is it’s packed full of flavor but uses minimal ingredients. My recipe makes enough for about six people. I usually pack the rest away for leftovers and eat these throughout the week!
Mediterranean Flavors
Carter and I both love Mediterranean flavors so we are going to be eating this meal over and over again. Also, what I love about this recipe is you can switch things up really easily! Next time I think I will chop up tiny gold potatoes, fry them and add them to the ground beef!
Greek Ground Beef Seasoning
I love using a special greek seasoning! I actually have every spice from THIS website! You can use my discount code for 15% off your entire order (CODE: BLUSHING15 ). These are the best cooking spices for those who know everything about cooking to those who are still learning! I also used store-bought greek sauces but I will link a few recipes that look good for the tzatziki and greek garlic sauce.
I have a few other great recipes on my blog that are staples in our kitchen. One of the fan favorites is the easy cinnamon roll recipe! I hope you enjoy this easy dinner idea and these Greek Pitas feed your family with smiles!
Greek Beef Pita in 15 Minutes
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 chopped white onion
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 tbsp Greek seasoning
- 6 pieces pita breads
- 1/2 cup feta
Tomato and Cucumber Side Salad
- 1 package cherry tomatos
- 1 cucumber
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp greek seasoning
- 2 tbsp feta cheese
Sauces
- Greek garlic dip
- tazihki sauce
Instructions
Ground Beef Filling
- Add tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat on the stove top. Sauté your white onions until transparent. About 3 to 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef to your onion and garlic pan. Chop up the ground beef and add Greek seasoning over the meat. Brown the meat.
Pitas
- Slice pitas in half and nuke them in the oven or microwave. We don’t have a microwave so I usually wrap them in foil and place them in the oven for about five minutes.
- Add your sauces to the inside of your pitas and fill with ground beef and top with feta cheese.
Tomato and Cucumber Salad
- Slice cherry tomatoes in half. Slice cucumbers. Put tomatoes and cucumber in a bowl and add olive oil, red wine vinegar and seasoning. Mix and add feta cheese.
